Hostel & Flight Booked! ~ Oh & Classes registered!

The other night I booked my flight & hostel :D

I'm flying a direct flight from Logan on Air Canada to Halifax, Nova Scotia. I'm flying on the the 25th and will be spending the night at Hi-Halifax Hostel which is right near the pier! About a ten min walk I've heard.

On the 26th I'll be boarding the MV Explorer with all the other work study students! I'm so excited under 80 days now! It's so crazy. I've been working so much (over 50 hours last week!) to save money for the trip.

Another bit of good news is that I was moved to a cheap cabin! Saving me about $6000!!!!! :D It's still a deck 3 inside cabin it's just located near the back of the ship so it has more engine noise. But I'm sure I can manage.

Gens also been such a big help! She gave me her luggage (that we scored for 10 bucks at Walmart last semester!!), her duffel bag (it magically zips up to a tiny little thing), tons of magnets, pictures to hang of me her & Janine and so much great advice .. places to go, things to see, and all the best bars to visit of course!! ~ Shes been such an amazing help so far! Thanks Gen!!

Oh yeah! I also picked my classes a couple weeks ago ..

A Day:

Shots & Scholarships

SO it's less then 4 months until I'll be sailing off! Exactly 108 days and my journey begins!

Here's a little update .. I've started my multiple shots I've had to get. So far I've gotten yellow fever & h1n1. Luckily the yellow fever shot is not giving me as much trouble as people have said it would! and our scholarships where posted from SAS and guess what! I got the work study job I applied for! :D That means I get to board a day early (for job orientation) and I get a nice grant from SAS to put towards this expensive voyage!

Another very cool thing is that Archbishop Desmond Tutu will be sailing on the whole Fall 2010 voyage! how cool is that! I'll be Desmond Tutus neighbor ;) I'm sure I'll run into him a bunch seeing as you really can't go far when your on a ship in the middle of the ocean for days at a time! lol

It's getting so close :D can't wait!
